Miami Running Clubs

By Renee Chapple, About.com

ING Miami Marathon
Miami’s a healthy city. You can’t wander far without seeing a runner knocking out the miles on the roads or beaches of Miami Dade County. Whether you’re a novice or veteran runner, Miami’s bound to have a club that can help you meet fellow runners and improve your skills.

Some of the clubs in the Miami area include:

Miami Feet is one of the most active clubs in the area. They sponsor training runs every day of the week in various locations including Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, Doral, Miami Lakes, North Miami and South Beach. Members also participate in social and charitable events.

Miami Fit is a local marathon training program designed to help runners prepare for local half-marathons and full marathons (including the ING Miami Marathon). After paying a $90 registration fee, you’re grouped with others of your ability and participate in a group training program.

Key Biscayne Running Club is open to all ages and ability levels. Each member will be personally coached by an experienced runner/coach, in addition to receiving discounts at local running stores.

Miami Runners Club offers training classes for runners of all abilities. Their events focus on the southern part of Miami Dade County.

Are you involved in a running club that’s not listed here? Drop me a line and I’ll consider adding it to the page.
