Guide Review - Tropical Chinese
If you're into Chinese food and live in South Florida, you've undoubtedly heard of Tropical Chinese. If you haven't been to this fabulous restaurant yet, don't waste any time getting there! In our opinion, it's the best Asian restaurant within 50 miles of Miami.
The restaurant is located at 7991 SW 40th Street. That's Bird Road, just west of the Palmetto. Be careful as you exit the Palmetto or you'll miss it. Tropical Chinese is located in an unassuming strip mall, just across from Tropical Park (the site of Santa's Enchanted Forest). In fact, the location is the only thing keeping Tropical Chinese from earning a full five stars.
If you visit for a Sunday afternoon lunch, you're in for a real treat -- authentic Chinese dim sum. Similar to the tapas style of dining, dim sum offers an a la carte (literally -- the servers bring around carts!) selection of Chinese appetizers. The key to an enjoyable Tropical Chinese experience is dining family style. Just take one of everything for the table and you'll all quickly find your favorites!
