Key Largo's Best Hotels

Looking for a great overnight or weekend getaway from Miami? Key Largo is just a short drive and puts the beauty of the Florida Keys within easy reach of any Florida resident. Here are a few great hotels where you can relax your worries away! Stay in one of these recommended hotels and it will go a long way toward giving you an enjoyable stay in the Florida Keys. Be sure to also check out our list of the Best Things to do in Key Largo and our overview of nearby tropical paradise John Pennekamp State Park. One note when booking hotels in the Keys -- many properties charge resort fees in addition to the quoted room rate. These fees can add around $25 per night to your bill, so be sure to read the fine print when making your reservation!

1. Ocean Pointe Suites

Ocean Pointe Suites is an all-suite hotel in Key Largo that offers guests an alternative to the traditional hotel. It is a condominium complex that provides rental rooms to travelers. The location of this hotel is outstanding -- it's right on the Atlantic ocean and buried within a mangrove forest. One drawback -- housekeeping service is provided only once per week. Expect to pay about $150 per night.

2. Marriott Key Largo Resort

The Marriott Key Largo Beach Resort combines some of the best elements of the Florida Keys with the service expected from a traditional hotel. You'll get the standard Marriott treatment, but have direct access to a beautiful beach! A word of advice here: try to get a room with a balcony. The view can't be beat! Expect to pay about $220 per night.

3. Hilton Key Largo Resort

The Hilton Key Largo offers a similar experience to the Marriott property. You'll find a larger resort with the traditional hotel features along with a beautiful waterfront location and private beach. Expect to pay around $220 per night here as well.

4. Atlantic Bay Resort

The Atlantic Bay Resort offers an affordable, "tucked away" Florida Keys experience. You can choose from efficiency units, cottages or suites, depending upon the size of your party and your preferences. Units are comfortably furnished and you will have access to a private pool and beach. Expect to pay around $200 per night.

5. Mariners Resort

Mariners Resort provides a variety of great amenities, including a marina that allows you to arrive by boat if you wish! The resort property features two pools, including a zero-entry pool and a Jacuzzi grotto. Mariners Resort is directly adjacent to John Pennekamp State Park, providing guests with direct access to the park's natural resources. One tip: even if you don't use the marina, spend some time out on the dock. You're likely to catch sight of some interesting tropical marine life!
