The American Automobile Association (AAA) awards its five diamond rating to hotels that meet the highest possible standards of quality and service. To put this rating into perspective, AAA evaluated over 30,000 hotels annually and only 125 in the country receive the coveted five diamond award status.
Earning Five Diamond Ratings
AAA evaluators have a 77 year history of evaluating both hotels and restaurants located throughout the United States. These evaluators use a standard set of guidelines to evaluate establishments on an unannounced basis. In order to achieve five diamond status, hotels must receive impeccable ratings after multiple evaluations and a review of those evaluations by a panel of travel industry experts.
