The University of Miami’s Jackson Health System provides a wide variety of services to residents located throughout Miami. In addition to their full-service hospitals, Jackson offers a children’s hospital, rehabilitation hospital and primary care facilities scattered around the region. The top-ranked Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is collocated with Jackson Memorial Hospital. Jackson also ranks in the top hospitals nationwide for ENT care, geriatrics, hormonal disorders, kidney disease, neurology/neurosurgery, and urology.

- Doctors Hospital (5000 University Drive, Coral Gables)
- Homestead Hospital (160 NW 13th Street, Homestead)
- South Miami Hospital (6200 SW 73rd Street, South Miami)
Mount Sinai Medical Center (4300 Alton Road, Miami Beach) is the largest hospital on Miami Beach. They specialize in cardiology, oncology/cancer services, orthopedics and Alzheimer’s disease.
Larkin Community Hospital (7031 SW 62nd Avenue, South Miami) offers South Miami residents full hospital services, including an emergency room and a specialized arthritis treatment program.
Kendall Regional Medical Center (11750 SW 40th Street, Miami) is a convenient alternative to the major hospital systems for residents of southwest Dade county. It’s located right off the Florida Turnpike. KRMC specializes in emergency medicine, cardiac care and pediatrics.
Cedars Medical Center (1400 NW 12th Avenue, Miami) is located in downtown Miami. Cedars’ capacity includes 560 beds and they specialize in cardiac care, orthopedic services and urology.
Mercy Hospital (3663 South Miami Avenue, Miami) is located conveniently for residents of Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and downtown Miami. In addition to standard acute care, Mercy hosts a cardiac institute, cancer center, orthopedic institute and a minimally invasive surgery center.
