Miami’s hospital systems provide residents with some of the finest care in Florida. Our city boasts two major networks: the Jackson Health System and Baptist Health South Florida. The world holds our health system in such high regard that it’s not uncommon for visitors to travel internationally to Miami to receive inpatient care in our region.

Each year, U.S. News and World Report ranks America’s Best Hospitals. The Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, part of The University of Miami's School of Medicine, was recently recognized by The U.S. News and World Report as a leader in the eye care industry. Located on NW 17th Street, it was founded in 1961 and has grown to be the standard in eye care research throughout the United States.

The Baptist Health System provides a number of hospitals and outpatient clinics serving the South Florida region. A recent survey by Modern Maturity magazine rated the system's flagship facility, Baptist Hospital, the 14th best hospital in America.

University of Miami Hospital offers 568 beds to patients throughout the Miami area. UM is home to world-renowned specialists in fields like open heart surgery, colo-rectal surgery, cancer care, neurosurgery and dermatology.

Located just west of downtown Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital is the only public hospital in Dade County. It also serves as the main teaching institution for the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Kendall Medical Center is a full-service hospital providing care to the residents of Kendall and surrounding areas. Special services include free community health lectures.

Larkin is a general hospital affiliated with the University Of Miami School of Medicine, located in South Miami.

Mercy Hospital is Miami's only Catholic hospital. It features centers of excellence in cardiac care, oncology, hyperbaric medicine and immunology.

Miami Children's Hospital is a world-class facility; it's the largest freestanding pediatric teaching hospital in the Southeastern United States. MCH treats over 185,000 pediatric patients each year.

Mount Sinai & Miami Heart Institues is Florida’s largest private, independent, not-for-profit teaching hospital. They provide cardiac, cancer, orthopedic and rehabilitation services.
