Florida allows 15-year olds to obtain a learner's license that allows them to drive with a licensed adult for instructional purposes.

Here's How:
- Complete a Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education course once you have reached 15 years of age.
- Have a parent or legal guardian sign the Parental Consent Form in the presence of a driver license examiner or have it notarized if a parent or guardian will not be present.
- Visit the local License Branch office, where you'll be asked to provide the documentation listed in Things You'll Need (below) and take a written test on road rules/signs, a vision test and a hearing test.
- You'll receive your learner's license after passing the tests.

What You Need:
- Primary proof of identification (birth certificate, passport or naturalization)
- Secondary identification (such as a school record or Baptism certificate)
- Social Security Number
