Many people (rightly) consider Miami a tourist hotspot and a great place to party. However, did you know there’s big business lurking in our city as well? If you’ve driven down the Dolphin Expressway, you’re probably aware that Miami is home to one of the nation’s largest fast food chains, Burger King. The criteria I used to rank these businesses is their market capitalization (the total value of all outstanding shares of stock). Therefore, you’ll only find publicly traded corporations on the list and you’ll only find those businesses that have their corporate headquarters in Miami. Here are the top 10:
