Pet Hurricane Evacuation Shelters in Miami

Did you know that Miami now operates hurricane evacuation centers that welcome pets? These shelters are located at E. Darwin Fuchs Pavilion (10901 SW 24th St) and
Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School (1410 NE 215 St). They welcome the following pets:

  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Gerbils
  • Guinea pigs
  • Hamsters
  • Mice
  • Rats
  • Rabbits (under 10 lbs)
  • Ferrets
  • Birds

Pre-registration is required. Call 311 to request additional information.
