Tax time is drawing near again. If you're a low-income taxpayer, you're eligible for participation in the Miami-Dade County Prosperity Campaign. This program assists individuals with incomes below $12,120, one-child families with incomes below $32,001 and two-child familiies with incomes below $36,348. You may qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit and/or the Child Tax Credit.
To participate, bring your W-2 form and the Social Security Numbers of all family members to any of the 2009 Tax Sites. Most sites are open from now until April 15th and some offer evening and weekend hours.
