Raising a Family in Miami

"I've recently entered into negotiations with a company that would require a move to Miami.

We curremtly live in the Northeast and would welcome it. WE do, though, have two young children (one entering kindergarten and one who is 2). I've bounced around the net and can't get a real handle on raising a family in the area. Is it a decent area for raising a family? What neighborhoods should we be looking in? The job isn't going to be for huge bucks but we still want to live someplace that is safe and has good schools."

Cutler Bay is a great area. I moved here with my teenage daughter 2 years ago from NY.
The neighbor hood we moved to is quit and safe. All the neighbors are friendly and helpful and my daughter is excelling at her school. I bought a 3 bedroom, one bath home on a large property for $289- (very reasonable, I think). Good Luck!
